Royce Owens
President & General Contractor
Royce was born in Atlanta and raised in Lithonia, GA where he attended Lithonia HS. After graduating from LHS, he served in the U.S. Navy. After four years of active duty Royce attended The University of Georgia, where he graduated Cum Laude with a BBA in Small Business Management.
During college Royce and his best friend from HS owned and managed a roofing and waterproofing company to help pay for college. Since graduating from UGA, Royce has been involved in all phases of the construction and development business. He and a partner founded a successful residential development and construction company in North Carolina that diversified into commercial and institutional construction.
After moving back to Atlanta, Royce joined Mimms Enterprises as the Vice President of Construction and Property Management in 2003, where he managed new development, existing re-development and tenant build-outs on Mimms 6,000,000 square foot portfolio. By 2004 the construction portion of the company had reached a volume of over $15,000,000 annually.
Fast forward to the present and the outgrowth of that construction enterprise is Pro Tech General Construction where Royce serves as President.
Royce is an active member at First Baptist Cumming, where he has served as a deacon, taught Youth and Young Adults Bible Fellowship Groups, Chaired the Personnel Committee and Deacon Body. He has lead two construction mission trips; one to Nevis and another to Antigua.
Royce has been married to his wife Cathy for over 50 years and has three grown children and seven granddaughters.

Garrett Owens
Vice President & General Contractor
Raised in construction, Garrett's strong work ethic developed early. Garrett completed his Business Degree at Tennessee Wesleyan College on a successful soccer scholarship. After graduating from TWC, Garrett established and managed a landscape company; worked in construction in various positions, and eventually became the Operations Manager for Select Industries, an Oil Field Services Company working in Louisianna and Colorado.
Garrett returned to his roots and joined his father at Pro Tech General Construction in 2017 as a superintendent. His drive and dedication eventually landed him a key leadership role and has since bought ownership into the company. Garrett now serves as Vice President and licensed General Contractor where he manages the field operations and estimating.
Garrett has been married to his wife Nicole since 2018 and has one daughter.

Andy Friedl

- Utilizing his degree in Logistics, Andy excels in planning, executing, and rigorously overseeing projects. His systematic approach guarantees well prepared projects from day one, while his approachable demeanor fosters teamwork and collaboration. With 17+ years in commercial construction, his diverse resume ranges from franchise TI buildouts to multi-million-dollar LEED certified urban hotels and spans nationwide.
- Since joining Pro Tech in 2023, Andy is leading the Nashville market with his versatility and expertise. Major brands such as TikTok, J. Crew and Johnston & Murphy have been added to our list of successful projects.
- Andy and his wife Jamie reside in Nashville, TN with their two children.
Jay Reid
Project Manager & Superintendent
Jay has over 35 years of experience in the commercial construction industry as a Superintendent / Project Manager. Early in his career, Jay worked as a tradesman (electrician, HVAC tech/installer, framing and erector) which has served him well in his current role overseeing those tradesmen and others.
Jay has completed projects that have ranged from 1,000 square feet of interior retail improvements to 250,000 square feet of ground up retail and warehouse flex space construction. Jay's ground up experience includes the installation of necessary infrastructure to serve retail, office and warehouse space. His national restaurant chain experience includes Panda Express, Hardee's, Krystal, and local restaurant experience includes Egg Harbor Cafe, Simply Done Donuts, Crave Pie, J-Pat's Kitchen and others. Banking and retail experience includes Chase Bank, Marshall’s, Goodwill, CVS and others.
Jay has proven strength in working closely with architects and engineers to solve structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other related issues that so often occur with remodeling and reconditioning projects.
Jay has been married to Delaine for over 38 years and they have two grown children and 4 grandchildren.

Doug Woolridge
Superintendent
Doug has been in the construction industry for over 40 years. At the age of 13, Doug started learning the brick laying business in Louisville, Kentucky. Moving to Georgia in '84 he accepted a Superintendent role in general construction. He then flipped to the inspection side of building; becoming a formal building inspector for the City of Suwanee for five years. Doug truly understands all aspects of the construction process from start to finish including the importance of building codes and safety. His attention to detail is on pointe.
Doug joined Pro Tech General Construction in 2021 and is a valuable asset to not only us, but to our clients. He enjoys working with each of the subcontractors and seeing a project completed from start to finish.
When not working, Doug enjoys bass fishing and spending time with his family in Woodstock, GA. He is married to his wife Dena for 43 years and they have three adult children.

He graduated from Johnson & Wales University, Charleston SC campus and Miami FL campus, with several degrees, Associate's in Business, Associate's in Baking & Pastry and Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts. He spent 15+ years in the restaurant business specializing in opening new locations. Needless to say, he is extremely talented in the kitchen!
Joe has always been interested in general building and joined Pro Tech General Construction in 2022. He has demonstrated patience and support to customers who are venturing out on their own construction projects. He has working on projects from shopping center demolition to multiple boutique retail stores and restaurants at Cumming City Center and Atlanta.
Outside of work Joe plays in a cornhole league and has a passion for woodworking. Joe has been married to his wife Adela since 2008, and they have teenage twin sons.

Graduating from Clemson University, degreed in Architectural Design, she began a successful career in custom estate home design/build in Florida along the Gulf Coast. Working directly with her clients and builders, she offers practical working knowledge of the construction process from conception to final walk-throughs.
She joined Pro Tech General Construction in 2020 and now prefers to work behind the scenes to tackle permitting and day to day office management.
